Thanksgiving Hours

The Library will be closing at 1:00 PM on Wednesday November 23rd
We will be closed all day on Thursday
We reopen at 9:00 am on Friday November 25th and resume normal hours!
Have a great holiday! Don't eat too much turkey, and don't forget to stop by and pick up some books or movies for the holiday!

Super Saturday Stories!!!


Beginning this Saturday the Children's Department is going to be offering Super Saturday Stories for children in grades k-1. The program is on the First Saturday of each month at 2:00 PM.
No registration required. Drop on by a great way to spend a late fall/winter Saturday afternoon!!

Halloween themed Movies & Muffins
Friday October 28th at 3:30 PM
Short films based on beloved Halloween books!
For ages 2 & Up.

Events are child friendly so they won't be too scary!

Signing For Babies Workshop


Join us for a 4 week hands-on workshop offered by Sheryl White. This workshop is meant for parents/caregivers of babies ages 2 months to pre-verbal. Reduce frustration and help give babies the ability to express themselves!!

Going Green at the Lincoln Library


Hi all
Fall is just around the corner (one way you can tell by the cool evenings the other is that the Library's fall programs are starting!
On Wednesday September 21st we are having our annual "Green Program" this year it's a lecture on solar energy given by the group Sunlight Solar Energy. It's at 7:00 pm in the Tarbell Room.

Kindles Are Here!!


The library has purchased 10 kindles! They come loaded with adult & children's titles. We have selected both best sellers & classic titles which we thought you might like! Kindles can only be checked out to someone 18 years or older, only Lincoln residents can check out our kindles (sorry) they must be returned to the Adult Circulation Department.
When you check out a kindle you will be asked for fill out a form which states the circulation policy and replacement fees.

Sorry it's been so long

sorry it's been so long since I've last posted anything -- it's been super busy here!
Spring programs are wrapping up,and we are gearing up for the summer! Our brochure will be out fairly soon!
We are also in the process of getting all new PCs for both public & staff use -- so sometimes our printers don't work and sometimes we are down -- please pardon the disruption!
anyway a busy summer is sure to be around the corner -- don't forget to check out all the new items in the collection! (New video games have arrived, as well as leapster cartidges!)

Feb. School Vacation Week!

Well it's been a really really hard winter! I think everyone needs a break!
The children's department has gone all out this year for a great fun packed week of activities ranging from a former world champion yo-yo(er) to a children's book jeopardy game.
Has anyone been watching jeopardy this week -- who can beat WATSON?!
